DTKJ Hopes Jakarta LRT Can Increase Collaboration

The Jakarta Transportation Council (DTKJ) made a working visit to PT LRT Jakarta, Pegangsaan Dua, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.

Phase 2A is PSN with a target to operate in 2024

At that time, they expressed hope that PT LRT would strengthen collaboration as was done by PT MRT Jakarta.

"We want them to collaborate more with various elements such as what MRT Jakarta does such as making events with theme of transportation," expressed DTKJ Head Haris Muhammadun in a written statement received by Beritajakarta.id.

He went on to say that they had provided integration to JIS through Transjakarta and also already had permission to continue construction of Trase 2A.

"The LRT passengers have increased to 3,000 people, previously only 1,000 to 1,700 because there was a zombie event," he continued, Wednesday (8/17).

Aside that, they would implement the national strategic project (PSN) Phase 2A JIS - Pegangsaan Dua with a target of 70,000 passengers by 2025.

"Phase 2A is PSN with a target to operate in 2024," he added.

To execute it, they needed to accelerate the allocation of PMD funds in stages with the consideration of optimizing the assets of Phase 1 of the Jakarta LRT Depot.

"An application to the Jakarta administration is to send a Two Steps Loan application for Phases 2B, 3A, and 3B to be set into the Blue Book and Green Book Program with BAPPENAS, Finance Ministry, and Transportation Ministry," he stated.
